In 1985, Mike Maynard-Smith founded Smith & Sons Construction with a simple mission: to raise the standard of residential construction in Havering. After years of working for companies that lacked care, commitment, and quality, he set out to do things differently—putting craftsmanship and client satisfaction first.
Today, Smith & Sons Construction Services (SSCS) remains a family-run firm, proudly serving East London, Havering, and Essex. With hundreds of successful projects and a reputation built on trust, we continue to transform homes with precision and passion.
